CLOSING EVENT WITH GUIDED TOUR BY THE ARTIST: 18 OCTOBER AT 6 PM
The La Rocca Foundation is pleased to announce the extension until 18 October 2025, exclusively at its headquarters in Via Raffaele Paolucci 71, of the exhibition Il difficile è dimenticare ciò che si è visto per casa (Ritratto di Pescara per caso) (The difficult thing is to forget what you have seen at home (Portrait of Pescara by chance)), Matteo Fato’s solo exhibition curated by Simone Ciglia, which involves the entire city through an articulated network of venues, languages and forms. The exhibition at the Museo dell’Ottocento and Museo delle Genti exhibition venues will close as scheduled on 27 September.
For the closing event, on 18 October at 5 p.m., there will be a guided tour with the artist Matteo Fato.
Matteo Fato’s project, produced by the La Rocca Foundation, marked the artist’s return to Pescara, his hometown, after sixteen years, and constructs a poetic and choral portrait of the territory, between art, memory, history and urban space. The works – some of which are unpublished, others rearranged in dialogue with collections and contexts – inhabit museums, foundations and public spaces, in an investigation of painting and its relationship with landscape, time and community.
Matteo Fato was recently announced as one of the artists participating in the 18th Quadriennale di Roma Fantastica, in the section curated by Luca Massimo Barbero.
